‘#IGiveAF—‘ trends on social media after Telegraph investigation into Irish rugby

The Ireland’s women’s rugby team have received a huge groundswell of support – with ‘#IGiveAF—‘ trending on social media – in the wake of an explosive investigation by Telegraph Sport into sexism in the sport. 

One of the most damning revelations was that a senior figure in Irish rugby made a derogatory remark about the women’s game during a speech given by John Robinson, the Irish Rugby Football Union president, at a dinner last month in Dublin.

Robinson, who was a guest of honour at the dinner, was referencing the strides the union had taken in recent months with th
