The Saskatchewan contingent is coming home with a number of medals from the Special Olympics World Games in Germany, which wrapped up on the weekend.

Power lifter Aaron Higgins won four medals, including silver in squat, silver in bench press, bronze in deadlift and silver overall.
Taylor Carter won gold in men’s golf, while Ian Cushon and his doubles partner Marc Richardson won gold in bowling.
McKenzie Millar, along with coaches Ben Lozinsky and Megan Penno, won a silver medal in Canada’s women’s basketball team.
Also winning gold was Steven Saman with the men’s basketball team, while Terra Dagenais won bronze with Canada’s women’s soccer team.
Regina Red Sox
After beating Swift Current 6-1 but then losing to Weyburn 8-1, the Regina Red Sox headed out on a four-game Alberta road trip last week.

The Red Sox split their two-game series with the Lethbridge Bulls before losing back-to-back games against the first-place Okotoks Dawgs on the weekend.
Regina now sits in third place in the East Division standings with an 11-13 record.
Next up are five straight home games, including a double header on Tuesday night against Medicine Hat beginning at 6 p.m. at Currie Field.
The Red Sox will also play at home Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before two games in Medicine Hat this weekend.
Calder Cup
The Hershey Bears won the Calder Cup over the Coachella Valley Firebirds last week in seven games in the American Hockey League’s championship series.
