Former Ireland, Leinster and Connacht winger Adam Byrne has announced his retirement at the age of 29.
Although he had been linked with a move to America, having left Connacht at the end of the season, Byrne has decided to call time on his career.
Byrne was capped by Ireland against Argentina in 2src17, while he played 66 games for Leinster, scoring 24 tries, as well as scoring three tries in his six appearances for Connacht last season.
His final season as a professional was blighted by injury, which was unfortunately the story for various parts of his career.
However, when fully fit and firing, Byrne was a powerful winger who was a handful for defenders.
