At the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Scotland, Midale’s Keely Shaw is coming home with two medals in Para-cycling.

In the women’s C4 track individual pursuit, Shaw finished in second place to win a silver medal, while she also took home bronze in the women’s C4 road time trial race.
21U Women’s Baseball
At the 21U Women’s Invitational baseball national championship in Newfoundland and Labrador, Team Saskatchewan finished in fifth place after beating the hosts in their final game of the tournament.

Lauren Owens, Nora Hutchison and Sophie Graham pitched for Team Saskatchewan in the final game and struck out 10 batters as a committee. Offensively, Sophie Graham, Kira Comfort, Lauren Owens, Natalie Koch, Rylee Stewart, Bailey Lacelle, Taylor Schueller and Victoria Bateman all recorded hits.
Bateman was also named the defensive player of the tournament after recording 12 assists, 23 putouts, a 1.000 fielding percentage to go along with six double plays.
Little League World Series
After winning the Canadian Little League Championship last week, the North Regina Little League All-Stars have arrived in Williamsport, Penn., where they are set to open the 2023 Little League World Series on Thursday against the Asia-Pacific rep, Kuei-Shan Little League from Taiwan.
