The Rugby World Cup is now underway as the best teams on the planet compete in France for a shot at glory.

South Africa are the reigning world champions and the Springboks will be eyeing another successful tournament this time around.

They beat England 32-12 in the final four years ago with Eddie Jones’ side coming agonisingly close to winning the World Cup for the first time since 2003. 

Now Steve Borthwick leads the Lions into the showpiece for another shot at the prestigious crown, 20 years on from their last triumph.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup began on Friday, September 8 and will come to an end on Saturday, October 28.

The tournament is being held in France and matches will be played at nine different venues in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Lille, Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne, Nice, Nantes and Toulouse.

Every game will be shown live and free to watch on ITV with fixtures shared between ITV1 and ITV4.

The action will also be available to watch on ITVX via mobile and tablet devices.
