ENGLAND will play Japan in their second pool-stage match at the 2023 Rugby World Cup on Sunday night.
George Ford stole the show as Steve Borthwick’s side got off to a winning start in the tournament after a stunning performance against Argentina.
England were victorious in their Rugby World Cup opener against the Pumas despite being a man down.
Tom Curry was shown a controversial red card after a head-on-head collision with Argentina’s Juan Cruz Mallia inside just three minutes.
The England flanker was initially handed a three-match ban by the disciplinary committee, but this will be reduced to a two-match suspension on completion of the Rugby World Cup’s coaching programme.
Meanwhile, Japan are a point ahead of Red Rose in Pool D following their dominant 42-12 win against Chile last weekend.
