The taste of Rugby World Cup victory is sweet. For residents of Zwide in Gqeberha, where Bok captain Siya Kolisi was born and bred, it is more than a triumph but a feeling of pride and joy – a feeling that more than 500 pupils from his former primary school echoed in songs of jubilation on Monday.
Pupils from Emsengeni Primary School, accompanied by more than 30 teachers, performed a march and drill through the township streets to celebrate the Boks’ victory against the All Blacks in a nail-biting final.
