Owen Farrell has divided opinion among rugby fans since making his England bow back in 2012. 112 caps later, the story remains the same, but TNT Sports pundits Stuart Hogg and Lawrence Dallaglio say that much of that criticism is based on jealousy of the qualities that the No. 10 brings to the table. Since being appointed the sole England captain in 2019, his critics have grown only more vocal.

England captain Owen Farrell has returned to action in the Gallagher Premiership Rugby as if he had never been away.
Former England captain Lawrence Dallaglio was effusive in his praise for Farrell during TNT Sports’ coverage of the Gallagher Premiership Rugby weekend.
He said: “I thought he was superb yesterday. We are seeing a different side to Owen Farrell. He’s coming out and doing interviews…That’s what you do as England captain. He’s a smashing kid, and more importantly, he’s an incredible rugby player.”
