Former Springbok captain and hooker Adriaan Strauss believes South African rugby has grown stronger since scrapping its overseas policy.

Strauss was Bok captain when SA Rugby introduced a policy that required overseas-based players to have at least 30 Test caps to be eligible for Springbok selection.

The 30-cap criteria was introduced at the start of 2017 to curb a “player drain”, which saw several players leaving South Africa.
