Eddie Jones is reportedly set to be named the new Japan head coach today.
According to local media reports, via ESPN, the Australian attended a final interview in Tokyo last week, with the Japan Rugby Football Union poised to make the announcement today.
The announcement is thought to be made official tomorrow at a media conference, according to further media reports.
It will signal Jones’ return to rugby after a shambolic reign as Australia boss, a post in which he lasted less than a year which took in a disastrous World Cup campaign.
The antipodean took charge of the Brave Blossoms between 2src12 and 2src15 but is set for a second stint at the helm.
Arundell ineligible for England
England winger Henry Arundell has signed a two-year extension to his contract at Racing 92, it has been confirmed.
