Murder suspect Zane Kilian’s new bail application got under way in the Western Cape High Court on Wednesday
Former rugby player-turned-debt collector Zane Kilian put in a last-ditch attempt at being released on bail, so that he won’t have to sit in jail for the duration of his trial.
He is on trial along with Nafiz Modack and others for the murder of Anti-Gang Unit detective Charl Kinnear.
The trial is set to start on 29 January, but if Modack does not find the money for a private lawyer by then, he and his co-accused are possibly in for an even longer wait in prison, so that a Legal Aid lawyer can be appoi
