It’s not often a coach at the wrong end of a 57-17 scoreline pronounces himself happy with proceedings, but that’s exactly what SA Under-2srcs coach Bafana Nhleko did on Thursday.
Following a Saving Private Ryan-esque start to their game against the Lions XV, which saw them concede four tries to a Lions XV before clawing their way into the match by scoring one of their own, Nhleko’s pups – in the middle of their preparation for the World Rugby Under-2src Championship – got themselves back in the game enough, even physically to impose themselves at times.
