New Zealand Rugby proposed a “once-in-a-generation” overhaul of its leadership structure on Wednesday, setting the stage for a power struggle at the top of the country’s most popular sport.

It comes after a scathing independent review concluded that NZ Rugby’s current leadership structure was “not fit for purpose”.
