Andre Esterhuizen found himself sent off early in the Test against Portugal for a dangerous tackle that saw the TMO Bunker upgrade his yellow to a red card.

The officials felt there was clear head-to-head contact and a high degree of danger.

Victor Matfield said at half time that he couldn’t see a head clash.

Replays don’t look conclusive.
