A children’s rugby club is suing the Catholic Church over the sale of five acres of sports fields by a local diocesan trust to the GAA.

St Brigid’s Rugby Club issued the legal proceedings in the High Court last month, in a marked escalation of a row over future access to the playing fields in Foxrock, south Dublin.
