REDDITCH RFC lost 55-27 away at Old Leamingtonians II to suffer back-to-back defeats for the first time this season.

The Kingfishers secured a losing bonus point at The Crofts courtesy of tries from Tyler Monger, Aaron Atkinson, Craig Martin, Jon Beale and James Mills.

And the result means Redditch sit eighth in the Counties 4 Midlands West (South) table.

The home side ran in six unanswered tries in the first half to take a 38-point lead with the Kingfishers unable to trouble the scoreboard.

However, Redditch responded just before the break when Monger broke through and dove over the line from a driving maul.

The hosts struck again straight from the restart only for Redditch to cross four times in the space of 15 minutes to secure a try bonus point.

Acting skipper Atkinson scored in the corner before Martin reached for the line to touch down.

And Beale then burst through a gap to score before Allen took advantage of a quick tap penalty to barge his way over with James Mills adding a single conversion.

However, Old Leamingtonians ran in two more tries to complete the scoring.

Redditch are next in action Stourport on Saturday, October 19 with kick-off at 3pm at Bromsgrove Road.
