New Zealand sent Andy Farrell’s side crashing out of the Rugby World Cup in heartbreaking fashion last year after a razor tight clash.

All Blacks won the contest 28-24 in Paris before the going on the reach the final that they ultimately lost to South Africa.

Ireland will play host to New Zealand, Argentina, Fiji and Australia in a mouthwatering line-up of fixtures in Dublin.

The Series finale against the Wallabies will serve as Irish Rugby’s 150th Anniversary Challenge match.

But before that, Farrell’s side will open their Autumn campaign against the All Blacks at Aviva Stadium on Friday, 8 November with a unique kick-off time of 8.10pm for Irish fans.

The former Canterbury Crusader player and coach previously spoke of his time on the Emerald Isle.

All Black’s new boss Robertson spent time at Ards as a 19-year-old learning his trade before heading back to play for the legendary side.

And funnily enough, after missing the registration deadline for the All-Ireland League, he was only turning out for Ards RFC’s seconds during his time in County Down.

The Christchurch man named his squad that included Rieko Ioane.
