The Springboks will welcome back five Rugby World Cup winners with some huge names returning.
The Springboks are set to take on Scotland, England and Wales in November.
Thankfully, some big-name stars, World Cup winners, will be returning to action.
RETURNING SPRINGBOKS
Damien Willemse, RG Snyman, Jean Kleyn, Grant Williams and Andre Esterhuizen are all in line to return to action for the Boks.
Willemse has not featured for the Springboks since the 2023 Rugby World Cup final. However, he will neb fit and available for selection for the end of year tour of the UK.
Additionally, Kleyn has also not been seen in the green and gold since the RWC last year.
He is also set to be available for selection.
Meanwhile, Williams, Esterhuizen and Snyman all featured for the national side under Rassie Erasmus this year. Unfortunately, they all picked up knocks since then. Thankfully, they have all recovered and are now available for selection.
WELCOME SELECTION HEADACHES FOR RASSIE
In Willemse’s absence, Fassi has been brilliant.
Meanwhile, Ruan Nortje has stepped up with equal passion and aplomb amidst a lock crisis in the Springboks. Injuries to Franco Mostert, Lood de Jager, Snyman and Kleyn saw Rassie needing to dig deep into the depths of SA Rugby.
Furthermore, Nortje answered the call and has had a huge season so far.
So, it will be interesting to see how Willemse and RG fit in to the picture come the end of year tour.
WILLEMSE WAS ONE OF THE STARS OF THE 2023 RUGBY WORLD CUP FOR THE SPRINGBOKS. SHOULD HE RETURN TO THE STARTING XV OR SHOULD FASSI CONTINUE?
