Leicester vs Gloucester predictions
Leicester welcomed back internationals Julian Montoya and Handre Pollard to their line-up for the first time last week and were instantly rewarded with an impressive home derby win over Premiership champions Northampton.
Next up for the Tigers is a home clash with Gloucester, who have just one win in four this season and are given a 14-point start.
The Cherry & Whites competed well in their opening fixtures. They pulled off a surprise victory away to Bristol but slumped to their heaviest defeat at home to Bath last week and may find this trip to the East Midlands similarly tough.
Gloucester coach George Skivington has stressed the need for more cutting edge in attack and he has been rewarded by some high-scoring performances.
His side have bagged a try bonus point in all four matches but they have been outscored in every game and their tally of 24 tries conceded is the highest in the division.
On Sunday they come up against the strongest defence in the Premiership – Leicester have shipped just 52 points and seven tries in their opening four games – and they are highly likely to find a big, physical Tigers pack hard to get on top of.
Leicester’s games have generally been low-scoring but they cut loose at bottom side Newcastle in round three, running out 42-10 winners, and have covered the handicap in all three of their victories. A double-figure winning margin looks within reach on this occasion.
