The best position for me inside the scrum is head down, as a front row prop. All five-foot-six and 66kg of me, it seems, fits in perfectly with Leinster’s Tadhg Furlong (125kg) or Munster’s John Ryan (120kg, no relation) as we wrap around the hooker.

This dubious recommendation wasn’t the only thing wrong with the International Rugby Experience in Limerick on the day I visited.
