Prince William has finally kicked off his four-day visit to South Africa with an aim to encourage efforts of those contributing to save the planet.

The Prince of Wales, who’s excited to grace The Earthshot Prize award ceremony in Cape Town on Wednesday (November 6), visited the Ocean View Secondary School in South Africa, where he engaged with the Atlas Foundation’s rugby and digital skills programme.

The heir to the British throne participated in rugby coaching sessions with pupils. During the game, the prince appeared to be tackled by a couple of students.

He showed off his power and strength to forcefully pass them out. He succeed doing so even if his steadfast and faithful partner Princess Kate was not with him at the game.

However he appeared missing Princess Catherine during the game as she never shies to take part in such activities with William whenever they get chance to show their sporting skills during public engagements.

Kensington Palace has shared pictures and videos of Prince William’s fist day activities in the country.

Former England rugby player Jason Leonard established the Atlas Foundation in 2014 to address child poverty worldwide. Rugby, with over 10 million followers in South Africa, serves as a powerful tool for social change.

The initiative uses coaches as mentors, creating safe spaces for children away from gang influence.
