France vs Argentina predictions

Argentina have beaten New Zealand, South Africa and Australia this year while they came within three points of Ireland in Dublin last week, but their efforts may catch up with them in their final outing of the year against France in Paris.

It has been a long run of matches for Los Pumas, who started their year with back-to-back home matches against a young French side in July.

The teams took one win each from that series but France have their big guns back for this showdown at the Stade de France, where the hosts have lost only once in their last 12 games – a single-point defeat to South Africa at the World Cup last autumn – and where they saw off New Zealand in a thrilling encounter last week.

That victory will have buoyed Les Bleus, while Argentina may just be feeling the strain – and neither coach has made significant changes to the line-up for this clash.

However, Argentina are able to include some fresh legs on the bench as Marcos Kremer, Lautaro Bazan Velez and Matteo Carreras are included for the first time in this autumn series. And given Los Pumas’ strong set-piece, they should be able to keep things close throughout.

France have won five of their last six meetings with Argentina, and while their most recent clash ended in defeat in Buenos Aires, that was with a second-string French side.
