Loved ones remembered on Rugby's Tree of Light

LOVED ones are being remembered in Rugby as part of an annual Christmas appeal to raise money for a Warwickshire hospice charity.

The Rotary Club of Rugby’s Tree of Light – the Mayor’s Christmas Tree outside St Andrews Church, which provides a focal point for dedications to deceased friends and family – is raising funds for the Myton Hospices.

The appeal launched when Mayor Simon Ward ‘handed over’ the Tree of Light to Pauline Kimber, the President of the Rotary Club of Rugby, last week.

Dedications for loved ones who are no longer with us are now being accepted, with forms available at the Myton Hospice shop in Rugby Central, at Blackham’s Opticians, and on the club’s website.

All proceeds go to the Myton Hospices to fund the charity’s work at its hospices in Rugby, Warwick and Coventry – with over £105,000 being raised by the club to date.

The Myton Hospices needs to raise £11million each year to provide its services free of charge.
