Former England rugby player Tom Voyce is believed to have died after attempting to drive through a flood-swollen river.
Voyce played nine tests for England between 2001 and 2006 including facing the All Blacks at Eden Park in 2004, Sir Graham Henry’s first test in charge.
The winger scored three tries for England and made 220 English Premiership appearances for Wasps, Bath and Gloucester. He retired from rugby in 2013.
The Daily Mail reports the 43-year-old attempted to cross over the River Aln in Northumberland during Storm Darragh, before his car was swept away.
Police launched a search for Voyce after he was reported missing since Saturday local time.
