Omoda and Jaecoo is boosting its brand awareness with a deal to sponsor the European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) Championship.
The dual brand, which has now launched in the UK with franchised dealer partners, kicked off its sponsorship with the opening match of the UK competition.
With Bath playing La Rochelle at the home of Bath Rugby at the Recreation Ground, this inaugural match saw both of the new Chinese brands promoted to rugby fans both in the stadium and online.
The Omoda 5 launched at the end of the summer (read AM’s first drive impressions), while the premium SUV Jaecoo 7 has been confirmed to start from under £30,000.
Jaecoo is partnered with Chery’s other brand Omoda as part of a dealer network that has already reached almost 70 locations across the UK.
Chery has ambitious plans for both brands in the UK and has already said it plans to outsell brands like Citroen, Mazda, Dacia and Seat here after just its second full year of sales.
