RUGBY Town have sacked manager Carl Adams following a 4-0 defeat away at Boldmere St Michaels.
Adams and the club agreed to part ways after Kevin Ngombi scored a 19-minute hat-trick before Charlie Manners completed the scoring in injury time at Church Road.
The result leaves Valley 20th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, five points from safety in the relegation zone.
Rugby made the worst possible start as Ngombi fired a low shot past Paul Hathaway from a tight angle after just two minutes.
And Boldmere doubled their lead on 19 minutes when Ngombi beat Hathaway again from an even more unlikely angle after Jono Brown produced a sensational save to deny Trey Charles at the other end.
Ngombi completed his hat-trick just two minutes later when he headed in Ben George’s cross from the right.
And Boldmere struck again two minutes into injury time at the end of the second half as substitute Manners saw his deflected effort find the net.
Rugby are next in action against Darlaston Town on Saturday, December 21 with kick-off at 3pm at the Paycare Stadium.
