Dragons vs Cardiff predictions

Round eight of the United Rugby Championship has seen some tight showdowns and there may be one more to round it off as Cardiff visit bottom side the Dragons.

Five of the seven matches in this set of fixtures have been settled by single-figure margins and this could go the same way despite the gulf in league standings.

Cardiff sit fifth while Dragons are bottom with only one win all season – by two points over Ospreys on the opening day.

However, all their home games have been close – as well as that win they have suffered four defeats in the league and in Europe, all by ten points or fewer.

The Dragons have picked up another victory since interim head coach Filo Tiatia took over from Dai Flanagan last month, winning at Newcastle in the European Challenge Cup, although the Kiwi coach will miss this game.

Cardiff beat the Cheetahs in the Challenge Cup last time out and stick with a strong team that includes internationals Josh Adams, Callum Sheedy and Taulupe Faletau. They should have enough to edge victory but the Dragons can push them close.
