Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player Vuate Karawalevu during the Pacific Nations Cup match against Samoa
Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player Vuate Karawalevu is excited about the new Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season and says he is looking at improving his game as it will be a big season for the club.
While speaking to fijivillage Sports, the former Waratahs player says they have new coaches and a new system to follow, which the players need to be familiar with before the season starts next month.
While speaking on his rugby journey, Karawalevu says he started playing rugby union during his high school days at Marist Brothers High School before securing a contract with the Silktails, playing in Australia.
He says after making it to the Sydney Roosters senior team, he managed to switch back to rugby union, joining the Waratahs.
The 23-year-old urges young rugby fans to continue listening to their parents and be disciplined if they hope to succeed in their rugby careers.
The Fijian Drua’s opening match will be at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, where they will host the Brumbies at 3.35pm on the 15th of next month.
