James Lowe, Dan Sheehan and Will Connors are nearing a return from injury for Leinster ahead of their final Champions Cup pool game against Bath at the Aviva Stadium (KO 5.30pm).

The trio will step their rehabilitation and will be further assessed as the week progresses before a final decision is made on availability, in what is also good news for Ireland ahead of the first Six Nations game against England on February 1st.

Tadhg Furlong, Jack Conan and Ciarán Frawley all came through the game against La Rochelle with no issues after their return from injury and are available for selection. Tommy O’Brien was ruled out of the starting XV last week as a precaution and will be further assessed this week before a final decision is made on availability.

Sheehan has been out for a considerable time after the hooker injured his knee in the opening Test against South Africa in July and subsequently underwent surgery. Lowe, meanwhile, has been sidelined with a calf injury since Ireland’s final autumn Test against Australia on November 30th.
