Rob Howley has left his role as Wales attack coach with immediate effect, following Warren Gatland’s departure earlier this week.

Cardiff coach Matt Sherratt takes over as interim attack coach for Wales’ remaining Six Nations fixtures against Ireland, Scotland and England.

Howley, who replaced Alex King ahead of the tournament, remains under contract with the WRU, but his future beyond the championship remains uncertain.

The WRU also confirmed squad changes, with Liam Williams and Owen Watkin withdrawing. Jarrod Evans, Gareth Anscombe and Max Llewellyn have been called up.
