Simon Easterby’s squad has beaten England and Scotland, with three games to go in the pursuit of an historic three-peat of Six Nations titles and a possible Grand Slam.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is Wales vs Ireland?

Wales vs Ireland is due to kick off at 2.15pm on Saturday February 22 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Team news

Ireland have called up six players to their squad ahead of next weekend’s Six Nations clash against Wales in Cardiff.

Munster back-rows Gavin Coombes and the uncapped John Hodnett are included, as is uncapped Leinster forward Diarmuid Mangan, as well as Ulster’s Nick Timoney, Jacob Stockdale and Stuart McCloskey.

However, Ulster duo Iain Henderson (hamstring) and Cormac Izuchukwu (ankle) have been ruled out of the trip to the Principality Stadium.

Caelan Doris (knee) and Rónan Kelleher (neck) are being managed this week, and as such, neither forwards are expected to feature against Wales.

Tadhg Furlong is said to be making good progress from his ongoing calf issue but the tighthead may be kept on ice for the crunch clash with France on March 8.

Mack Hansen and Joe McCarthy are back in training and both should be available for selection next week.

Matt Sherratt was appointed as Warren Gatland’s successor for Wales’ three remaining Six Nations fixtures.

Former international forward T. Rhys Thomas, meanwhile, has joined Sherratt’s coaching staff for the remainder of this season’s Six Nations.

Who will referee the game?

Christophe Ridley from England will take charge of the game. His two assistant referees are Nika Amashukeli (Georgia) and Gianluca Gnecchi (Italy). Ian Tempest from England will be TMO.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in Ireland can watch the match live on Virgin Media One, with coverage on the channel from 1pm. A livestream will be available via Virgin Media Player. The game will be screened live in the UK on ITV and ITVX livestream.
